On July 7, 2025, in Hanoi, Viet Duc University Hospital, in collaboration with Haiau Medical Technology and Equipment Joint Stock Company, successfully organized a scientific conference titled:
“Application of Radiofrequency Waves (RF and PRF-STP) in the Treatment of Chronic Pain in Cervical and Lumbar Spine Conditions.”
Amid the rising incidence of spinal disorders — particularly among laborers and the elderly — the application of advanced, minimally invasive treatment methods has become an urgent need in clinical practice. This conference served as an opportunity for medical professionals to update their knowledge of new technologies and gain access to more effective and safer treatment techniques for patients.
The event was attended by many leading experts in the field of spine surgery in Vietnam, including:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thach – President of the Vietnam Spine Surgery Society
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Hoe – Vice President of the Vietnam Spine Surgery Society
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Ngoc Son – General Secretary of the Vietnam Spine Surgery Society
- Along with the team of doctors from the Spine Surgery Department of Viet Duc University Hospital
Notably, the conference featured a professional sharing session from Dr. Toh Charng Jeng – former President (2018–2022) and current Honorary Secretary General (2022–2024) of the Malaysian Society of Interventional Pain Practitioners. Dr. Toh brought with him extensive practical experience in applying radiofrequency technology in chronic pain treatment across Asia.
The conference focused on updating knowledge and sharing practical experience in the application of two cutting-edge technologies: RF (Radiofrequency) and PRF-STP (Pulsed Radiofrequency – Sluice Target Point). These minimally invasive interventions have been highly regarded for their effectiveness and safety in managing chronic pain caused by spinal conditions. Through presentations, discussions, and real clinical case demonstrations, participating doctors had the opportunity to gain in-depth and practical insights that can be directly applied in their own practices.
More than just a high-quality scientific forum, the conference also strengthened professional connections between domestic and international doctors, promoting technology transfer and contributing to enhancing the capacity for treatment and patient care in Vietnam.
Through this event, Haiau Medtech reaffirmed their role as a technological bridge in the healthcare sector, supporting hospitals and physicians on their journey of innovation, by continuously introducing modern, effective, and compassionate treatment solutions.
